weekends are never long enough: 26!

pre birthday celebration in dolores park, there was lots of beer and tacos and an unlimited supply of donut holes. san francisco i'd like to kiss you on the mouth and thank you for the insanely awesome weather that made it all possible. and thanks junia for taking snapping these shots.

weekends are never long enough

happy birthday america! it wouldn't be 4th of july in san francisco without cold wind and fog. we had a fried chicken picnic at dolores park and attempted to see the various firework shows around the city. the rest of the weekend end was filled with more eating. went out to outerlands for the first time, the space looks like something out of where the wild things are and the food was crazy delicious. outer sunset you are not that bad.

coveting: pigeon toe ceramics

images from pigeon toe ceramicsi'll take one of everything from pigeon toe ceramics. who cares if i've managed to kill every plant i've ever owned (maybe its because i didn't let them grow in these lovely little porcelain vessels?). if my little succulents manage to make it i will upgrade them to this faceted hanging tray. oh those leather lace cords are just icing on the cake.

also - general store! how did i not know about this place? they carry pigeon toe ceramics and im sure an assortment of things i will in no doubt need.

weekends are never long enough

bay to breakers, shmay to shmakers. who needs a 7 mile dunk fest (especially on a foggy and chilly day) when there's a film about type! woodtype to be specific and printmaking! we caught a special screening of typeface at the yerba buena center and if i ever find myself in the midwest a trip to the hamilton woodtype museum in wisconsin will be a must.

also weekends should always involve pancakes, and grilled cheese sandwiches made with gruyer and roasted tomato soup. maybe i should go running next weekend...

weekends are never long enough

this weekend was carb-tastic! the sf bay guardian did a round up of the best morning buns in the city, so we made it our mission to try at least half of them. tartine is still my hands down favorite, but sandbox bakery in bernal heights is definitely up there.

and if my weekend didn't have enough buttery flakey goodness in it, allison and i went to chile pie, for a green chile apple pie (savorysweetspicey aaaazingness) .... and a root beer float....and then proceeded to stuff our faces with sliders and wash it down with beer. mmmmmm weekends.
